Shakespeare and Berlioz combine to bring the comedy of Much Ado About Nothing (aka Béatrice et Bénédict) to glorious life. Romance is in the air, even when sparks fly between the independent Beatrice and the cheeky Benedict. Celebrate their cheerful battles as Love reigns supreme in a celebration of word and music that is a delight from beginning to end!

Aria Auction Dinner @ Vista 1 Room at the top of the Hilton Hotel | Eugene | Oregon | United States

The Aria Auction Dinner is a unique annual event that has become a highlight of Eugene’s holiday scene.

All of our Aria Auction Dinners have been special, but this one will be especially so, with an unprecedented array of operatic talent from the cast of our upcoming Opera Trio…and much more. Three Metropolitan Opera performers (Emily Pulley, Marco Nisticò, and Deborah Mayer), two young sopranos with voices we know you’ll love…Cecilia Violetta López, especially well known for her performances as Violetta in La Traviata, and Tess Altiveros already well on her way to opera stardom (she’s our Maria in West Side Story), acclaimed tenor David Gustafson (Edgardo in our Lucia di Lammermoor), two standout performers from our recent Much Ado About Nothing…and truly much more.

Eugene Opera Music Director Andrew Bisantz will again be our Aria Auction Dinner producer/host and pianist extraordinaire.

You’ll hear great arias, Broadway highlights, and much-beloved songs…all in an intimate setting, looking out from the top of the Eugene Hilton over a sparkling Eugene at holiday time.

Plan to be there for this unforgettable evening of wonderful entertainment and support your Eugene Opera with your 100% tax-deductible “raise your paddles” donations. We hope you will not only attend but also spread the word about this extraordinary occasion. Host a table with friends and business associates!

Reception at 5:30pm. Dinner at 6:30pm.
